Millenium Nucleus BioGEM Organizes International Congress on Regenerative Medicine at UFRO

On May 1st, the registration and abstract submission period opens for this biennial event, which will bring together experts in these emerging disciplines in Chile.
With the aim of sharing and discussing the latest scientific and technological advances in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, the IV Congress on Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine will take place on November 13 and 14 at the Pucón Campus of the Universidad de La Frontera. The event will convene academic and clinical communities from diverse health-related disciplines.
Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (TERM) is an interdisciplinary field focused on restoring the structure and function of damaged tissues and organs by integrating knowledge from natural sciences, engineering, and medicine. Its development involves creating innovative systems and therapies to enhance tissue and organ regeneration, offering more efficient solutions for treating injuries and diseases.
The registration and abstract submission period will run from May 1st to August 15th. Submissions must align with one or more of the congress themes: Biomaterials, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Medical Physics, Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, and Nanobiotechnology.
All submissions, which may be in Spanish or English, will undergo a blind review by the Scientific Committee, composed of renowned national experts. They will evaluate relevance, originality, significance, and clarity. Registration fees range from $50,000 CLP to $120,000 CLP for professionals until September 30th. Registration includes welcome materials, access to scientific sessions, a participation certificate, and a networking event.
The keynote lecture will be delivered by Dr. María Cristina Manzanares, a professor at the University of Barcelona. "Dr. Manzanares actively collaborates on regenerative medicine research projects with Dr. Víctor Beltrán, under initiatives such as FONDEF and FONDECYT. We also highlight the participation of distinguished experts from Chilean universities as speakers," said Dr. Francisca Acevedo, President of the Congress Organizing Committee.
The congress will feature a roundtable titled "Female Leadership in Science, Technology, and Innovation", where leading women will share their personal and professional experiences.
"For BIOREN, it is essential to support all researchers associated with our Nucleus. We want them to know they have access to our scientific-technological platform, and we are pleased to collaborate on this congress, which is crucial for advancing medicine. The event will gather renowned international and national researchers contributing to TERM, including Dr. Francisca Acevedo and Dr. Víctor Beltrán," stated Dr. María de la Luz Mora, Director of the Scientific-Technological Nucleus in Biorecursos (BIOREN-UFRO).
Organized by the Millennium Nucleus BioGEM, with support from BIOREN and the Vice Presidency of Research and Graduate Studies (VRIP), the IV Congress on Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine aims to foster collaboration among professionals and academics from various institutions to advance innovative solutions that improve people's quality of life.
